More Off the Shoulder Gingham

Okay so yet again a hurricane has kicked me out of my town which gave me some time off work to fashion blog!
I have had this shirt forever, but it just went on sale!
This shirt brings attention to something I do often which is clothes hunting. Basically, especially with unique vintage and modcloth, you should shop around for the best price. The clothing most of the time is not their original brand. So because of that sometimes the original site is cheaper or running a sale that may not be on the other. So its really important. I found this shirt also at Forever 21 (shocking because it is nice material and not flimsy??) but currently it is on sale at unique vintage so that is the ideal place.
Also you will see a ton of me wearing gold hoops, not because of fall style or anything, I am just now discovering that I love them so.
And then I paired it with my usual go to pants that I adore. They are versatile and comfy and I love them.

Well until next time,

Hailey

Off The Shoulder Galore

This post is brought to you by the Outback parking lot, I am alive because of Outback and their cheese fries.
Okay so I bought this dress from unique vintage as a nice summer dress for long days outside. Terrible idea. Beautiful dress but it is not a flowy beach lightweight dress. It is very heavy material so it makes a good August/September dress. Also if your a small, it is on sale!

Blogger Spotlight

Okay so it is time for my second blogger spotlight and I have chosen Room 334! I was really scared to start blogging but when I found her blog it gave me the courage to start mine. Blogging is a daunting task and I was worried it would be much more elitist rather than a bunch of people just writing about what they love. Her blog is wonderful, she is able to incorporate feminism and body positivity into posts about fashion. It is place to read and find cute looks and advice and inspiration!

So it is a very commonly known fact that I am through and through an American historian. I am insanely excited for this year because I get to take a class on American Revolutionary War and Colonial Life. How freaking cool!

Gingham Forever and Ever

So I am finally back from Italy after a month. Upon getting robbed and back into the US, I was able to get a new phone so I can now like super easily blog on the go! The new Iphone 7 is amazing. The camera is clear and almost as amazing as my canon and so I love it. And I can blog even more now which I am really excited about. Which means even more glam photos in my parking lot.
Summer is ending and so I am trying not to buy anymore gingham since it is such a summer pattern. But I just love it so much. Can I not wear a gingham christmas sweater? This shirt is beautiful. It ruffles and falls off the shoulder easily. Usually off the shoulder tops are tight in order to stay in that position, but this one is nice and loose but never is uncomfortable. It is breathable and awesome. It is also super on sale.
Also I am trying to accept how I look in pants or shorts. Absolutely a daunting task. I use skirts to cover up the fact that my legs are terrifying. But to complete the vintage look every gal needs a pair of cigarette pants. It works really well with patterned shirts.
To complete the look, I wore typical red lipstick. Heels to look sassy as hell. I love heels. Key to confidence: wear heels. Even with your nike shorts, heel it.

Until next time,
(which will be really soon)

Everything Before 1776 was a Mistake

So for the last couple of weeks I have been spending my time studying history in medieval Siena. It is a wonderful city. But I Have no time to fashion blog. Most days are spent sweating it out in some building built in the 600s. I can not use straighteners. Electricity is hard to come by. It is amazing. If anyone would like a historical rant about how much fun I am having to be posted and to show off all the beautiful sits let me know and I will!
Europe is wonderful for fashion. Everything is mustard yellow and ruffles and platform shoes. I believe Zara is also in america but it is everywhere in Italy. Zara is an amazing store because they take a normal dress and then just add stuff to it: ruffles, patches, patterns, just fun stuff. I love it.

This is my absolute favorite dress. I have worn it a million times since I got it a month ago. It is all my favorite tins: ruffles, gingham, and off the shoulder.
And then I paired it wit Stila lipstick, which is not my favorite. It wore off within an hour.

But anyway today is the 4th of July.  So I get to have a small celebration in Italy. No matter were I am in the world I will forever be an American historian. So here is my first red dress ever.

Here are my favorite 4th of July quotes. It is the best holiday of the year.

Until next time,

Hailey

First Blogger Spotlight

Okay so first post in forever and a day. I spent the last month preparing for my month and and a half long trip to Italy. So I have super not been blogging. I thought I would have a ton of time to blog here like nice vacation! Turns out  there is just a ton of homework and exploring to do. So hopefully I will be able to feature some amazing outfits within the next week.
But in the mean time I want to start an segment that I have been thinking about for a wile. Basically a lot of the reason I am a fashion blogger is because of some absolutely amazing ladies who inspired me. So hopefully like once every two weeks or so I will posts about one of these ladies that I love following. This weeks blogger spotlit is The College Creative This blogger is actually someone that went to high school with and it took us both being bloggers nearby each other to actually become friends. If you want to make more friends become a fashion blogger. The community is amazing and wonderful.

But basically her blog is still really new but she is amazingly good at updating her blog unlike me. She posts a lot of fashion inspiration, bringing historical inspiration into it as well, and some awesome DIYs to try.

I will have another post coming later this week, ft. Italy!

Until next time!
